Function of oxygen sensor:
Oxygen sensors are used to detect the oxygen content of mixture after the air and fuel mixed combustion in the automotive engine.
The oxygen content with electrical signals is then fed back to the engine electronic control unit (ECU).
ECU adjusts the engine’s air and fuel ratio according to the signals of oxygen sensor, thereby improving the engine’s performance, saving fuel and reducing emissions.
